This Must Read for Advenced Spiritual Seekers

In your present, individual state of consciousness we identify with the thoughts and emotions that appear in our mind, so we believe that we are a separate, illusionary person, an Ego. A lot of us are not satisfied with what we are, and we would like to have a better and more beautiful personal history. That is why we create a mental image of our desired personal development, and the ways of making the work of our Minds more effective.
In order to achieve the mental image we ourselves have created, we embark on a foolish game, as we attempt to bring our Minds under our own control, and be the masters of our own development. Since we do not know the nature of the Mind, this venture is destined to failure right from the beginning.

What is Our Highest Purpose?

Allow me to draw your attention to an apparently surprising thing. If I told you that now, when you are reading these lines, you are in fact asleep, you would certainly believe that I have gone mad.

Your are awake, you are concentrating your attention to reading, and you are aware of your environment as well. You can see the furniture of your room, you can hear the call of the birds from the nearby forest. You are also aware of your thoughts and emotions, too. How can anyone claim that you are asleep in this very moment?

Naturally, you, just as everyone else, sleep at night, and yes, sometimes you see dreams while you sleep.  But now it is daytime, you are awake, so how could you see dreams?

The 7 Power Codes of the Heart

This is an article by Gilbert Ross

In everyday language it is common to use the expression “at the heart of” or “the heart of the matter” indicating how the heart is considered to be of essence or of utmost importance. It’s also interesting to note how the same significance is not attributed to the mind although important in its own right. So what language is reflecting is the implicit agreement among us that the heart comes, or at least ought to come, prior to anything else.

Of course what we refer to as the heart, when not using the term literally or medically, is not the physical organ but a metaphor to the internal space, our seat of silent power, which allows positive human elements to arise: Love, intuition, compassion, courage, hope and trust.

The Secret Director of the Film of our Life

Many of us think that we are not only the main actors of the films of our lives but also the directors of it. But the more detailed analysis of the reality shows that this is only an illusion. In most cases our minds direct the films of our lives, not we.

I've previously introduced in my articles how the mind works, now I only wish to point out those factors, which manipulate our life films unconsiously. The manipulative co-directors of the mind are the following: the Consumer Social Pattern, the Power of Expectations and the Mirror of Opinions.

7 Powerfull Signs of the Higher Consciousness

It has happened to all of us that we came under the spell of a moment some time during our life. A beautiful landscape, a sunset, a beautiful piece of art, the rhythm of music enchanted us. It may even happen that we are just lost in the silence of a peaceful moment.

The identification with the forms and shapes loosens a little bit for a short while, and in that instant we may experience an entirely different state of Consciousness. See some sings of this state of the Higher Consciousness.

Happiness of the Awakened Heart

Have you ever witnessed when a bird welcomed the rising sun with its song at dawn? Its heart overflows with joy, and it must share its happiness, the chant of its heart, with the whole wide world. Why cannot we live like that, to celebrate life like that?

Because we are submerged deep in the troubled world of our Mind, and we are unable to experience that emotion. We live in powerful identification with our senses, emotions and thoughts in a world characterised by continual stress, struggle and suffering.

Why Simple Living is the Forgotten Key to Self Actualization

Article written by Gilbert Ross

For the past ten years I have been pretty much into personal development. Well, as a teenager I was already a bit interested in not-so-mainstream topics such as the power of the human mind, psychic phenomena and plenty of other metaphysical topics. It comes to no surprise that my peers thought I was a bit weird, you know how it is. So when I got hooked on to personal development topics later on in life, I was already primed for certain ideas and insights. It came easier for me to hop on from one book or one topic to another without needing a stretch of time to digest certain ideas. I got pretty sucked into it. I read heaps of books, started off my blog Soul Hiker and wrote a few hundred articles to share my insights and experiences with others following the same path.

Explore the Infinite Awarenes

According to humanistic psychology, we have three basic motivational factors that determine the work of the Ego-dominated mind. One is the need to belong to somebody, the other is the need of safety, and the third is the need of appreciation.

These demands or needs appear in our life in the order listed above, and they are hierarchically connected to each other. It means that the need of safety only becomes important when our need to belong to somebody has already been satisfied, at least to a minimum extent. Similarly, the need of appreciation will be important when we already belong to somebody (it can be an individual or a group), and our need of safety, stability has been met to a certain degree.

12 Keys to Access the Deeper Dimensions of Life

Our whole life is a rush. We chase our desires and unfulfilled dreams. We are attracted by money, power, prestige, a wholesome, happy life. Spurred by our ambitions, we pursue various goals all through our lives. We aspire for something all the time, we always want to achieve something.

This restless rush is instigated by our fear that we are still not what we want to be. We are never satisfied, we always want something else. We therefore lose our grip on thedeeper dimensions of life. The deeper dimensions are present in our life, but we lose contact with them because of our lack of Alertness. The question therefore arises, how we are able to access the deeper dimensions of Life?
